Gentle Words

Gentle words from a tongue have a honeyed flavor Utterances... "from the mouth of the wise bring favor But the lips of the stupid one will be his ruin."* Even if he foolishly doesn't know what he's doin.' To my ears, a soft voice is as pleasant as trilling birds. Wrapping around my senses in the manner a belt girds. It offers me peace and calm, a life of tranquility filled with happiness and balanced with harmony. For everything there is a season~ a time to tear down a time to build up others, so no one wears a frown. a time to be quiet, a time to speak, and a time for peace Putting an end to life's struggles brings sweet release. * Ecclesiastes 10:12 ** parts of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

This is a marvelous, beautiful poem with fine allusions to the wisdom of the wise Solomon. You have penned a really fine piece of work here, Jenna. Really good stuff! This poem should be a P.O.T.D. or P.O.T.W.!

Thank you for such kind thoughts, Milt. Solomon, when God asked what gift he would like, stated that he wanted wisdom. God granted him that wisdom, but Solomon became a foolish man and lost God's favor.

Voodoo, as a gesture of goodwill and reconciliation I’ve lifted the block I placed on you, but you know that since you chose to make a comment to Tom about his wisdom.

That certainly is true, Tom. Seems to be a faulty human trait in some that think...if I'm not happy, I'll make others miserable. Thanks, dear one.
