Gentle Spider

A gentle spider spinning a web, slowly descending down it's ladder, into the light so bright, such a size is this beautiful creature, what a amazing specimen of life, as I watch you spinning away, without a care in the world, so gentle, so lost in your work. wrote 9-20-08

Oh James, I hope I didn't scare you off with my idiotic comment.:( The morning I wrote it I had 8 little spiders hanging from the window...when they grow bigger, they become my fright and terror. I know why "Little Miss Muffet" ran off so quickly. After that, she probably used Raid as hairspray. Oh well...am I digging myself a crater?:( This poem denotes your clement and gracious self. Please don't be angry. God bless you and yours..Mikki

I remember the beautiful spider web outside my door with dew and sunlight on it - spiders are so diligent in their beautiful work.. Thanks for comment also on my poem - My son who is now 32 dressed the dog up as superman - we cherish these memories, don't we..

This poem reminds me of Charlotte’s Web. I like the images and am able to see them clearly. Those spiders are amazing as to what they are able to do with their spinning. Great job! ~Joseph

hi James I like this write although I don't like spiders, they are wonderfully made, they make this web of drag-line silk that's very strong and durable, nice write, you might enjoy reading my blame on who and you might read somehting interesting about spiders in that write, thank you for taking the time to read my writes and your comments, take care D-nyce

This is a beautiful poem, James. They are not something that holds a dear place in my mind, but I can see here that they might have beauty to others. They seem to love the water, and we are close to it, so they head over to our house. I don't know where their butt holes are, but I know they like leaving their calling cards with splat signatures. Yik. I wish for you the best....God bless you and yours! love to you..Mikki :)

For me the only good spider is a dead spider, but you sure capture the beauty in this one. Very well done. Regards Heidie

I agree with Carrie. I am seriously creeped out by spiders. You on the other hand see them as they should be seen. Love, Shar

Who would think that one could see a spider with such gentle eyes? A wonderful poem, James, where most people look at a spider as something frightful! A lovely person would see it as you do. ~Carrie
