Gentle Chimes
Throughout the day, here he is…
Leisurely strolling the fringes of my mind
Crowding out a thousand thoughts
Come night he haunts my every dream
When daylight seeps through curtains drawn
Dispersing warmth upon lazy, fluttering eyes
I awake to wander the day with breathless joy!
No doubt, I am falling into him...
His kindness, rare...that voice and laughter, so unique
Today, again, like every other, he lingers ever near
I reach for the phone; fingers poised…
When soft chimes ring and …like magic
Here he is… bold, in black and white!
