Genesis
On a day when nothing pleases you,
not land, sea or sky - a vision,
a natural completeness
of nature unfolds.
Shedding all former perceptions,
you see a world unmasked,
its untarnished visage
now reflecting only perfection.
Before you, blossoms a reality,
an ageless beauty
that had yet to be imagined.
The purity cannot hold for long,
the world returns,
wearing its shadow-laced rags
once more,
but you remember,
and your eyes are clearer.
