Generational Tea Time

Hear grandma’s tea-kettle whistle,
quaint-blessings…out-moded thistles.

Soak mighty generation soil,
leaves steeping…ancient toil.

Stir mind over matters Gen-Z,
while you and bestie, spill the tea.

How interesting is this! Thanks for the explanations at the bottom. I'm drinking soda right now, lol- but I'm still thinking of matters and this poem! Hugs, just me!

What a wonderful sijo poem, dear Kim! It creates a nostalgic atmosphere, how those earlier times were meaningful and full of heartwarming reveries, compared to the Gen-z which tends to 'spill the tea'.. Your wordplay is really creative here! Enjoyed reading this.. Sending best wishes and light..

Hey Kim, Your wonderful Sijo brews nostalgia and modernity in a delightful blend. Your imagery of grandma's tea-kettle and the banter of Gen-Z friends is both comforting and relatable. It's like sipping stories across generations. Keep pouring those poetic cups of wisdom and wit! - Blessings, Daniel
