Gender Based Violence
Please keep your voice down
We don't want to wake up the kids
It's already taken a toll on them
That mum and dad are no more
They don't understand how
They'll live without you coming home
Or without you sitting on your rocking chair
Reading the newspaper with your eyes closed
They'll miss you roar
Cause when you asleep, you snore
And it's that culminating noise
That they know dad's home
They'll miss running to the door
To receive you in their hugs
Or for you to lift them up
And sit on your laps
But know they'll grow knowing you
Cause I can't deny you that
And I'll always treasure their memories of you
I won't let them hate you for leaving us
