Gem

I carefully watch him across the  room
and my eyes reflect the light 
that shines within him
Hanging on his every word,
I go into the depths 
and find that he is true
So wonderful, so genuine
how could someone 
just toss him away?
What I would give,
to keep him
to treat him as he really is
He is a precious gem
a unique treasure 
I wish to have

Alana, the imagery and choice words allow the reader to understand so clearly the intent. We can see other people, sometimes from failed relationships, and we question why because they seem so perfect and we then desire them, moreso when we can't have them. it always seems to be the wrong time, oh well a subject for another day there LOL Terrific read my friend.
