Geek's Lament
Oh! the pain of an online geek,
when friends they finally do seek,
Goodreads, Facebook, or some other
sites that promise not to smother
their special likes or personhood
like a bar drink or meeting would.
But lack of one-on-one time can
lead to hurting the heart of man,
because if he can tweet and twitter,
he might quickly turn out bitter,
when ignored by “friend” turned slick,
passed over for a cuter profile pic!
