Gay, No Doubt

Into the new coffee-shop to get a new brew
I swung to the counter, and there I met---who?
A slim trim lady with her hair cut crew.

It stirred me to think, "Hmmm, maybe she's gay",
But ere I could link it she twinkled a wink,
Said, "What'll it be on this beautiful day?"

So light on her feet, so deft in the pour,
I sang, when I paid her, "You're a gay one, sure!"
