Did nothing to deserve life
He gave it free
Paid no fee for it

Assured me hope after death
Did nothing to see the light
Gave it with no strings attached
Paid no price for it
Gave it out of kindness for me
Put a new feeling in me
All at no expense
Assured me joy in time of death
