Gathered Words

GATHERED WORDS I dipped my pen into the ink tried writing the old fashioned way, then gathering clusters of words to form poems, not an essay. To write with clear understanding as simple words can touch the heart, but grouping these words together I just didn't know where to start. Perhaps I could write a sonnet a little song that can be sung though it only has fourteen lines It's much easier said than done A pantoum maybe I should pen as it repeats many a line the order is quite confusing I'll leave it for some other time. One time I wrote a kyrielle each line an eight syllable count it's rather hard being precise to never exceed the amount. I have now decided to write a poem of only three lines. a simple form called a haiku not in need of any cute rhymes. black ink becomes an explosion of crows. Copyright © Vivien Wade July 2017
