Gates In Fields

I have pleasure in looking at gates in fields... I prefer them to be in their natural state, though, and not coloured red, such as the one I saw the other day. Although gates are man-made, they blend in so easily with the countryside. Imagine this - an oak tree, a gate, a path and a cow. There you have the ingredients for a wonderful painting.

a cow by a gate
that looks you full in the face
a new beginning
