Gasping For Air
You have always taken my breath away
From the very first day we met
Now once more you have me gasping for air
For I cannot breathe you have taken my love away
I have tried to inhale the air you have left
My lungs have been emptied and I have regrets
I have tried to find a new ventilator with no success
You have unplugged me from the wall you have taken it all
My heart has been flat lined with no indication of your return
No signs of life a tag has been placed on my toe
I have lost my heat and now have become very cold
Please bring me back to life put your paddles on my chest
I cannot survive without you
