Gary Confesses To Murder
Gary Confesses to Murder
By Elton Camp
To arrest and search Gary submitted
Cops claimed that a murder he committed
When the time of the crime he heard
“Thank goodness!” was Gary’s word
He smiled with relieved delight
For he’d been home all that night
“You expect us just to take your word?”
The DA added, “Man, that’s unheard!”
The criminal lawyer who Gary hired
Said, “I’ll do anything that’s required.”
“If there’s a way to prove where you were.
The solution to me will eventually occur.”
But when the murder trial got under way,
Gary was horrified to hear his lawyer say
“The murder my client couldn’t have done.
I’ll prove he was home and having fun.”
“His Internet search history is in my hand.
I’ll read it so his innocence you understand.
Because on that awful, murderous night
He was moving from this to that website.”
Gary cried, “No! Just put that list away.
Because the victim, I admit, I did slay.”
