Gardens of Doom

Days fold in endless gloom
where flowers fade before they bloom
gardens forlorn to thrive
against the harsh elements they strive

through wind and heat they bear the pains
ever are they exposed to the strains
though they show a masquerade smile
it’s a struggle to live meanwhile
