Garden of Eden

In a pristine garden centuries old
Adam and Eve were solemnly told
not to eat the forbidden fruit
but a serpent told them a fatal untruth

so they ate the fruit that was forbidden
became ashamed, and thought they were hidden
when God inquired as to what they had done
Adam blamed it on the woman

God's command they had disobeyed
and indeed they would have to pay
they were banished from the garden thus
thence were sure to return to dust.....
                         .-.

Love your poem from a book of endless wisdom and truth. Now in the dust the serpent lies / Waiting for victims to baptize / into its realm and demonize / the souls it may evangelize.
