lachrymal layer-can we avoid that--yes let the water run on your hands and onions before peeling them:)yet the other lachrymal layers are hard to heal--bravo Raul--Charma

I hate waking up those lachrymal layers . but I like eating those fried onions on a greasy burger from the bowling Alley in darko! :-)

Hi Raul, firstly thanks for your comment. I havn't been online for a week as I had to look for a new flat and now I'll be living in germany's outmost eastern corner in Zittau (Saxonia) which is close to the Czech and polish border. i will be moving there by December. Liked much your Senryu. I use my glasses to avoid flow of tears....well done writing....Gert

I just heard an interesting fact on the radio this morning. They say that they used onion in the Egyptian times because the onion had rings that made them think it was the circle of life. Anyway was interesting. God Bless Phyl
