Garden

Garden was all alone,
Unloved and uncared for,
Hadn’t always been that way,
Once a pride and joy for all,
Spectacular and beautiful,
People loved to be there with garden,
Friends always visited,
Parties held,
The sun loved to shine his way,
Until things started to change,
Neglect showed,
Devastation happened,
Nettles, weeds stifled,
He heard other gardens comments,
All alone year after year,
Loneliness and sadness,
Gripped him,
Embedding into his soul,
Then one morning something different!
Cutting was heard,
Daylight was shining through,
Once again,
Someone cared.

A lovely poem, Wendy. It shows how there is always hope someone will care and make things right. And you words can apply metaphorically to many other situations too. Nicely done! 7 Hugs, Sandra
