Game of Chance

"God doesn't play dice with the universe" - Albert Einstein

     Has someone stacked the deck?
         Our cards aren't coming up!
War here, tension everywhere
       The seeds of destruction
are being sown
      Is there a pattern?
to this madness?
    Or is it just a
game of chance
    Where the cards can
show us
          nothing but "boredom and despair"
    the small castles
we built by the shore
are soon washed away
        by the oncoming tide
Nature seems to be
a gambler!
  Later, at night
   We look up at
the "Big Dipper"
    Feel a sense of
wonder about exsistence
A warm breeze blowing
        from the west
Life is beautiful - at times
