Hi Hathor.I think this is a skilfully written Haiku. In fact I think the ability in using the required amount of well defined words as you have done and yet capture the essence of your subject is to my mind the mark of good poetry.I liked this, the way it is written and the images you have used.Thank you for reading and commenting on my piece. It was written out my love for others. And my sadness at how war can be destructive of our humanity. Love June(Sylvia)

Quite an intriguing image in your haiku, Hathor. I like the way you compare the trees to "prey" for the new hunting season. Unique and thought-provoking. Best wishes, Carolyn
