Gambling With Our Souls
After the tender moments
and the whispered promises
Love can go awry
Two spirits who met and made love
may end their bond
over a triviality
To build trust is no easy task
It can be toppled by a word
Still, we seek joy and fufillment
In each other's arms
We walk upright into the new day
Hope steals into our hearts
Yes, love can go awry
But we'll persist
Take our chances
Let the karmic wheel spin
in our direction
