Gale of Life

Having mastered my life as I supposed, Then as the captain, now of my soul; I met with true stormy gale of the soul, In it all my resolve and mastery of life, Could not avail me any sustenance. Then I remembered the Lord of my life, And the shepherd of my soul, To him came I from the gale, When all he said was, ''Peace be still'', So peace flooded my heart to overflow. The great tempest stood still, And I now gathered my thought in me, Having assuredly with me the Lord, Who is the true captain of my soul, My Saviour and the Lord of my life. So I learnt that He cares for me, And is thinking in advance for me. For He knows all about my tomorrow, With His loving kindness, He shields me from all hurt.

Lost in ones philosophy of life, the very source life and strength was neglected. Then the stormy gale only acted as a teacher and guide, to bring the strayed back to the fold again.
