Galaxy Girl

Together,
I think we’re in space
Cause I’ve built her a rocket ship.
Made of dreams and hope.
3….

Blast off.

I showed her shooting stars.
And she told me how to chase them.
She showed me the constellations in my freckles
And I asked her to kiss them.

She wears Saturn’s rings on her finger
And the world is in the palm of her hand
Her voice can make the sun shine
When I coax a smile
The stars twinkle

But I think together
     Together
We could make the sun jealous of our glow
And I know together
     Together
We create starlight
