Galactic Force

Beyond the skyline, I watch an expanse
    outside this earthly realm…
torches of balls glitter in seamless motion,
orange streaks rolling in random numbers,
    circling ' round their territory
like crystal fibrils wheeling, darting,
   perhaps prancing…

Yet in relays, heavenly bodies afar
do not collide with one another
each of them holding an alchemy where
millions are unnamed, undefined, unattained.

Pray tell, of what purpose do they rule
   through a mystery, perceived by
human theories, not by an imprimatur
 of a Source's universal law?

Prophets say it will take light years
to touch their faces and claim
 residence within this galactic space
... but for now, mark it
as a restricted passageway.

Very profound Nette, and I congratulate you for knitting these mysteries all together. I Wish you and your family a Merry and Joyful Christmas filled with peace, laughter and most of all the gift of health. Hugs Maria

Nette, this poem does indicate (and I think correctly so) that we will never understand what the universe is or what drives all the motion. The immense size of all that is out there does tend to isolate us from whatever is there. Hard to know just how unique our own planet is and if what we have here is somewhat duplicated somewhere. Smiles!!

I think I read this posted before - but it doesn't mean it isn't great poetry, makes me feel a part of the Oneness of the Universe...and it's a pleasure always to read your work <3
