Future Before Present
a tender kiss washed in moonlight
my body feels the waves
so far away from the water
i shed a tear to ease my pain
and water the flowers
let this grief be for naught
she spoke to make me smile
i spell her name with my footprints
this wake isn't strange to wrath
looking to the sunrise
i watched the hills and said my prayers
up in the air, ive fell before
now I know what to believe in
this i cannot say
id poison your wishing wells
yet i wish you well
my secret screamed at midnight
life can crush us quickly
im flirting with the moment
ill settle when im dust
