Futility

I saw a man die today
I fired the bullet on my goverments say
I didnt know him and he didnt know me
But this i must do to set this land free
Ive got a family back home i wish i was there
I dont want to be here its for them that i care
But i have no choice as im a soldier at war
Sent in by the politicians to settle up the score
When will westminister stop the sanction of murdering our sons
Because its them higher say we must as i reload my guns
Its such a waste such utter futility
This wont stop the bloodshed and hostility
I saw a man die today
I pulled the trigger because he had to pay
