Futile Exercise
Contrary Mary dances with fairy’s while traveling down dead end streets;
Sunglasses jerry- his nose hairs too harry he dances to rock and roll beats.
Dead man’s alley’s and death toll tallies and autos built for speed;
Father O’Malley and victims of folly pray for all those in need.
And street lights take pictures while big brother smokes swishers;
While the people only dream of well wishes.
Trips to the alter home loans at falter foreclosure has called on the phone;
Some cash in on litter and taste only bitter while begging for change as they roam
The runners for office appeal to the caucus and many accept what they say;
And as they tally our x’s we hope for our Lexus but recessions the lunch of the day.
