Fury

Open the back door
And run out
Into the pouring rain
Squish my toes in the mud
Gargle the raindrops
Wash away the sins
That stain my skin
Fall to my knees
Arms extended
Breathing heavily
A crack of thunder
A flash of lightning
Energy in the air charged
Drawn to my fingertips
I touch my lips
And try to wipe away
The icy liquid
Dripping down my chin
The rain pours even harder
Pelting me with its fury
Being stabbed with pins and needles
I collapse in the mud
Face down.

Wonderful analogy you have penned of the fury, the fury in the mind and the fury of the rain outside, I liked the expressions. Francesca
