Notes About The Poem

I'm really tired of the extremely of nasty politics that are being used in this presidential election cycle.

Granted, Trump has no control;from head to mouth and, from the quotes being brought from the past, probably never has,At least we know who he is. Vote your heart and mind. Don't be swayed by slander.

Funny How Selectively

Funny How Selectively

Funny how selectively
Free speech not really free
The words I say to you
And the ones you say to me

Said in private conversation
With some intent or not
Recorded with or without knowledge
Now see what we have got

When politically expedient
These words are put to bear
To besmirch a reputation
With forethought but not much care

Doesn't matter whether true or not
When voters can be swayed
Timely release of information
Many times have really payed

Released by the well established
Who can break the laws and win
Only have to know of skeletons
How to revive them once again

To soap the voters' windows
To cloud their view is neat
It's Halloween a little early
All is fair, it's trick or treat
