Full Moon and a Star
Written By: D. Collins 11/9/22
Me and a single star were just eyeing each other.
I asked for its power and to bring me that aura.
It replied, "I can't help if you don't know who you are."
"To not conclude that you're already amongst the stars."
It said, "you're rooted while I'm just stuck out here in space."
And, guaranteed I wouldn't dare want to take its place.
It tells me what I am versus where I want to be at.
Me and one lonely star were just having a chit-chat.
It said, "Youngun, I'm a few billion years older than you."
"Don't let me give you a lesson on what OGs do."
After that, I decided I should head towards home.
Lock myself in the basement, and leave that star alone.
