Full Circle

You’ve left me again,
With an aching heart.
You said you'd stay,
With me, never to leave.

I’ve heard those words before—
I visited you once,
When I first saw you,
And swore I wouldn’t return.
But now, here I am,
Breaking my promise,
Because you’ve become my past.

I visit you now in my thoughts,
Told myself I wouldn't question your leaving,
That I'd be okay after trusting you—
After breaking walls,
And letting you invade my heart.

Somewhat true,
But I still stay missing you.
I hope you’re happy,
That you've found the lady
I couldn’t be for you.
That you stay true,
In love, and never leave.

For my forever with you
Is now just a farewell,
And a wish for your bliss and joy.
