Fulfillment

The lonely watcher
stands among the many
hopes and dreams
of the silent people
and makes a wish.
The lonely watcher
opens her heart
and waits for comfort
from the listeners
when she cries,
but there is no solace,
and deep inside
a sadness grows.
In the stillness
of her despair,
the lonely watcher
is touched gently
by loving kindness.
Her veil of silence
is lifted
as she hears the words
I love you.
