Fugacious

As quickly as it came, oops, now it's gone
You had it for a second but you couldn't hold on

But how could you hold on when it's fleeting?
Not many are learning but Aquarius is teaching

                                 Got 'em

Smiling after a nice hit of dopamine to the dome
Heart emojis and likes galore on the phone

But what about a good old-fashioned warm embrace?
Social distance widening while authenticity has been displaced

                                  Got 'em

Like Pookie, "It just keeps callin' me and callin' me", I can hear people say
Hungering eyes and jittery fingers anticipate another hit to come their way

In the pocket or pocketbook
That itch, that thirst that can't be shook

The good old hands keep turning on the clock
Meanwhile, craving and anticipating another Tic Tok

Got 'eeeemmmm!
