Between work and raising a family, trying to make it on my own,
I often feel pushed in the background, on my heart it takes a toll,
I ignore the exhaustion and keep on moving,
I'm everyone's rock, I can't afford an undoing,
I can be surrounded by everyone, and yet at times feel so alone,
Valued in what I'm doing, yet my heart is unheard to know,
Pushing my heart in the background to deal with on my own time,
Being the shoulder on which everyone cries,
When my strength is depleting I pull away,
To regain my heart and get up again,
This routine is a must for me,
To stand outside the circle so I can see,
