FU

Music is a powerful thing
There is so much truth in the words they sing
No matter your background or if your black or white
Music is something in which we can all unite

Music has been my most faithful friend
Never left me and the only thing I could always depend
Music has seen my most darkest days
My happiest too, the music always stayed

Iv been angry, sad and blue
Playing my music to get me through
An album played yesterday
And changed my view on my life in so many ways

An upbeat album, writing her wrongs
Showing me iv made it and I am strong
Today my thoughts don't seem so black
The songs are telling me that I'm on the right track

When I have wanted to leave this world
The music said stop and in life I held
Stay on for the next song or album
Stay on for the next tour, dvd or "anthem"

Stay on i did, and oh what I managed
The people i met, the countries i travelled
Were all made possible because I stayed on to see
The next song she released and that was the key

Even today when im surrounded by love
Her music my guide before anyone
Her music is the reason I stayed
And for that the albums will play and play

No matter your background, colour or creed
For many of us music makes us feel free
When you are sad put on some tunes
You maybe surprised how much they talk to you

I listened to an album yesterday
The words in it will MAKE ME STAY
I feel so much courage and feel so empowered
My life feels like mine to rediscover

So I will stay on for her next album or song
Her music my friend for so long
I wear my t-shirts with pride to show I survived
My head and my heart are now revived
