FRUITLESS PIES

Fed up with tasteless pastries from the high street baker,
I planned to take a stall in the market
And provide my tried and tested range of pies.
But, though well meant, when I saw the rent,
It was far too high.
My plan was just pie in the sky

Congratulations, Bryn, with your 3rd place win in my contest. Your rhymes were well thought out and it represented the versatility of these rhymes. Yes, outside factors such as rent, can put the spanner in the works … Your Apocorante rhyme (trailing rhyme) was a nice touch: baker/take. (See my latest contest where trailing rhyme is the star of the show.) Regards, Suzette
