Frozen Pillow
We had a two hour car ride to the destination
About 10 passengers but it feels like it's only the two of us because,
You laid your head on my shoulder and fell asleep
A nervous excitement cried tears that watered the soil of my heart
I tried my best to stay still and not wake you
Concentrating I become frozen
The only thing that has life is the flight of your hair from your breath, leaking out in the midst of your sleep, my chest is trying jump outside my body, oh wait I'm forgetting to breathe,
So concentrated on being a cloud for your dreams
A sun for your flower, the stem for your petals
I want to be your garden so I can watch you blossom for me, the same way you give me wings
p.s. I don't want to ever get to our destination...
