Congratulations on your win Jenna. Your haiku creates such a sense of stillness and anticipation like Christmas Eve. I enjoyed the moment of serenity. Merry Christmas!

This last line cracked me up , I guess I can picture these swans out there waiting and wondering what has happened : ). I will be in raceland and gray LA tonight looking forward to the thawed lake : ) me and swans will be rejoicing

To each his own I suppose but there was no humor intended in the third line of this Haiku.

A beautiful scene which I easily pictured as I read your haiku. I think Tania will like this.

Morning, Milt. I had visions as to how I wanted to word this, but the syllable count wouldn't work with me until I wrote this. Thank you so very much.

A chilly scene Jenna, I'm like a big kid when it snows. Good luck in the contest. Tom

I didn't grow up in a snowy area but lived in one for a while. The first snow was always beautiful. Thanks for your good luck wishes, Tom.
