FROZEN HEART


An icebreaker in 
The arctic, 
My love for you has become,
Skirting large ice caps of 
Indifference
That surrounds your desolate
Heart!

Dear Harry, Thank you for your visit and your comment! Of course, there are two sides to everything for, as Greek mythology tells us, when Zeus decided to create the world he took the opposites: cold-hot, wet-arid, hard-soft, male female and so on and after changing himself to the God of love, EROS, he managed to create the world by uniting the opposites into a harmonious whole. Therefore to everything we find its opposite and, as you say, this includes love. However, we chose the side we like to be.

This is a tremendous and sad write my friend! I would think this to be a depressive poem actually, but it is so well written...an excellent piece! Just like your title, I feel that this woman (I made the person a woman) as having a "Frozen Heart"! A wonderful poem you have written, a supremely written piece, Great Work!!

Russell, of course she is a woman! I am Greek! Ha-ha! Actually, the poem is not depressive but optimistic for he believes so much in the power of love that goes through all this trouble to liberate her heart and warm her as to become his! Thank you so much my friend for your comment!
