Frozen Flower
Summer heat is all around me
But I'm lost in a bitter chill
So cold the white walls turned blue
Like the blood in my veins
A fragile little flower I always was
But time slowly plucked each petal
Until I was left in a shivering fit
My soul naked for the world to see
The stars sang symphonies to me
But there was never empathy for me
And I wasn't given water to grow
Only salty tears reached the soil
Planted over decaying bones
Ghosts sang layered laments
In memory of the life I lived
For now I am frozen
