Frozen

I try so hard
Just so you can see,
How I feel
And what you mean to me.
I tell you to look in your heart
And look if you can feel;
To see if it's the same,
If your loving heart is real.

Has your heart frozen shut?
You won't let no one in;
You think that I'm going to hurt you,
You think that I'm a sin.
Well I'm not here to hurt you,
I only want to love you.
I just want you to know
And see that my love is true.

I tried to tell you-
Let you know how much I care,
To give you all my love.
I was wrong to take that dare.
I live a life of scorn
I have scars from the past,
But I don't let old flames burn
Because I'll always love the last.
