Frosty Spell
Autumn leaves twirl in an aerial dance
As skies transform to shades of gray
Soon, winter will take a stance
And the north winds will blow snowflakes our way
As Halloween ends, November winds set in
And not long after the winter solstice begins
Casting its frosty spell of gloom
And sunset comes all too soon
Snow begins to fall as twilight nears
Its silence echoing through the night
The hush continues until dawn
With a landscape adorned in white
