From Within To Without

I clean my face
With my own tears
Smile to people I do not know
This shining face
Has a lot to see
In the shadows hide its secrets
How many tears outburst in sudden
Esteem from the heart below
Sorrow, joy, and hope abounds
In a wishing well called Soul
Whose been here ready to emancipate
That's how you see this face brightens
In adversity, glowing like foam within
You see expressionless, void or happy
This is how it goes freely
What's within becomes the without.

A thought-provoking poem. Reminds me of being a parent. You can't always get what you want. But, being without, you are still surrounded by the feeling. Well penned.

You hit the nail on the head, Triny! You remember your parent's sacrifices just for you. Me, I see myself as parent to my kids. It's a wholesome martyrdom to raise children to goodness. It takes a lot of patience, grinding moments to reach them out. Lots of tears and self-restrain. Thank you, Triny for sharing your deep thoughts on this. I appreciate it much. Esteem regards here from my beautiful country, Philippines.
