From the Trees Who Gave You Air

I seed the Earth, and the Earth needs me. 
If you give me some light, I'll grow into a tree. 
I'll give you some oxygen, so that you can breathe. 
Make sure you take care of us, or we shall leaf....

Chelsie, I like the green message in your poem, but the contest called for rhymes between 10 and 15 lines, not free verse. Congrats on your honorable mention. Best wishes, Carolyn
