From the Other Side

From The Other Side

Your lying lifeless in a hospital bed,
Trying to remember all that was said
Wondering how we will cope,
Not like it's something that can be washed away with water and soap,

All thoughts going round in my head,
Was it something I did or what I said,
The deverstating news you've had a stroke,
Can I wake you up with a cuddle, a poke,

Will the children realy understand,
When I tell them you can't walk or move your hand,
How are we to manage with no money comeing in,
Will I have to go every where with a begging tin,

I wish to god it was me lying there,
As my fingers touch your grey thinning hair
THERE!! Did I see your eyes slightly move,
I call your name slow and smoove,

Tears , I pray deeply come back to me
Please ,oh please. , I need something to see,
Your mouth moves but there is no sound,
My feelings for you I feel so proud,

I put my finger upon your lips,
Feeling your mouths vibrations on my finger tips,
Yes you are there, my lover, my partner , my friend,,
"No , I'll never leave you, never, I,m here till the end ."
