From Stranger To Lover
A journey of a 1,000 miles
Begins with a single step
They say the first is always the hardest
But in time I've come to learn
That it doesn't have to be the first to be hard
Any step any time along the way
Can be a little harder than the one before
And sometimes it takes an outsider looking in
To step in and give you an extra push
To give you a little more strength
Or for someone to just remind you that you got this
He came into my life when I least expected him to
Kidnapped me to make me his own
His friendship, his kindness, his smile, his love
I wanted to steer clear of it all
But then I came to find that it was him
That opened me up to a whole new world
The fresh start I so desperately needed
He was the one thing I was sure I shouldn't do
But sitting here now I've come to learn
He was the best thing that could've ever happened to me
Fighting to keep my head above water
Trying not to let my own trials and tribulations
Bring me back to a place I'd been so many times before
And yet it seemed it was one thing after another
But then he came along and changed it all
A good morning beautiful text
Started my day with a smile
Something I hadn't done in while
But with him I can't be mad, can't be sad
He knows just what to say or do
To make me laugh
When I don't even wanna smile
And yet he always seems to find a way
So sweet and yet so frustrating
But I love every minute of it
I know I've said I love you
At least a million times
But with him I don't say it out of habit
I don't say it just to make conversation with him
I just want him to know
That he is the best thing to ever happen to me
And no matter if I say it a million more
Still it wouldn’t be enough
For him to know just how much I really care
But I'll spend every day
From now until forever
Trying to get him to see
Just how true these words really are
And to make him feel as loved and as special
As he has made me!!!!
