From St Nicholas
December’s the month all the children hold dear.
It’s getting close, the time it draws near.
You’ll peep out the curtain out through the window.
Awaiting the sleigh bell ring, and the first Christmas snow.
Where will he land with his sleigh and his deer?
I know it is magic, this one night of the year.
When all children are equal, no rich and no poor.
Because it’s the magic of Christmas, we feel our hearts soar.
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Donner and Blitzen
Rudolph, Comet, Cupid and Vixen.
You’ll hear their bells if you carefully listen
Chuckles and laughter, he likes to guffaw.
His laughter booms out as loud as a roar.
The wonder and awe that the children do feel.
Joined as one for peace and goodwill.
Glad tidings are brought and the carols are sung.
Mantels decorated and the stockings are hung.
Christmas eve is upon us, there is warmth in the air.
St Nick draws in close, the children aware.
They’ll try to wait up, want to see him arrive.
Alas, little children of that view, the sandman deprives.
Remember though children my true gift to you.
Is the wonder and love, it will fill your heart true.
I’m not just a symbol, I exist in you all.
I Bring peace and love in you, one and all
Merry Christmas
Nicholas
