From Somewhere Within
from somewhere within
I am still a bit “childish”. Age hasn’t diminished my desire to jump in puddles, blow bubbles in my chocolate milk, tease my siblings. In my youth I was “encouraged” to grow up and stop acting like a kid. In my old age I am discouraged from acting like a kid and told to act my age. I still make vampire teeth out of carrot sticks and blueberry smiley faces on the pancakes. I find a great joy in leaving surprises for my grandchildren, a leaning magna-tiles castle, a stuffed animal parade in the hallway. I am told that when they find these displays or the toys hidden under pillows or peaking from a cupboard they shout: “PAPA DID IT!!”
impish memories
soft sounds of tiny footprints
