From Ruins I Rise

By Imran Ahmed

She Shattered Me Like Fragile Glass

Left Me Bleeding In The Echoes Of Our Past

I Gave Her Love As Deep As The Ocean

Yet She Drowned Me In Waves Of Cold Devotion

Falling To My Knees I Call Her Name

But Only Silence Answers Whispering Blame

My Heart Torn Open Bleeds In Vain

Each Beat A Whisper Of Unbearable Pain

Tears Like Rivers Carve My Face

Born From Sorrows Time Won’t Erase

She Was My Sun My Guiding Light

But Now I Stumble In Endless Night

I Trusted Her With Every Breath

But She Handed Me The Kiss Of Death

She Walked Away Without A Glance

Left Me Drowning In This Lonely Trance

Oh Love So Cruel So Bittersweet

A Melody That Now Repeats

Of Promises Turned Into Lies

Of Empty Hellos And Silent Goodbyes

Yet From These Ruins I Shall Rise

With Fire Reborn Behind My Eyes

For Though She Broke Me Left Me Scarred

My Soul Still Beats Though Torn Apart.
