From One Heart To Another
From one heart to another
can I be the first to say
that your heart will break for him one day.
When you have to leave him alone
and watch him move on, on his own.
Watch him stumble and fall
and realize that he never needed you at all.
From one heart to another
can I be the first to say,
don't make promises
you might just break.
It will just leave you both broken one day.
When that day comes and
you have to watch him break,
then there will be no mistake,
you are the one to blame.
From one heart to another
can I be the first to say,
when your heart breaks
you can't put it back together with duck tape.
It will just peel away.
From one heart to another
can I be the first to say,
first love hurts
in every way.
